CV Boot and Driveshaft

Car  2005 Clio 182
Hi guys, first post from a new member. Excuse the gash name.

Anyway straight to the point. My 182 Cup's CV Boot has been rattling for a while and I've thought it to be the manifold. Silly me didn't realise. So, the CV boot is dry and I've been told I need a new driveshaft for the O/S wheel. I have also been told to pump the boot half full of oil, then seal with a healthy bit of grease, or just to spray the boot with WD40 every now and then.

I have seen this driveshaft however and think it's well priced. Will it behave like cheese or do you think it'd be up the job of being occasionally hooned but mostly driven sensibly? :S
