Playing on PS4 Pro, but tempted to call it quits and wait, because it feels like getting an inferior experience of what will be an incredible game in the not too distant future.
The frame rate is terrible, it feels so choppy, even on Boost Mode, and the driving is woeful, the cars are so bouncy. Also the graphics are just nowhere near as good as I've seen screenshots of on decent PCs, they're not even good by the standards of some other PS4 games.
10hrs in and now starting on some of the numerous side missions.
Once you’ve got a vehicle and the hang of driving it’s brilliant to just cruise around enjoying the spectacle, the attention to detail in every side street is brilliant.
Many hours will be required to get the most of this game.

I don't know why they are primarily aiming that at console players. The whole game is a joke. Worse AI than 2001 GTA 3. Police can't even chase you. NPC's can't even navigate around each other. Traffic changes to different vehicle types if you turn your head. Tyres are at 100psi and filled with helium. Jesus you can't even get in the passenger door and push out the dead body sometimes. Crash full speed in to a truck and you just squeeze underneath it and carry on. Even the main missions are glitchy and have to be restarted.
Visually beautiful, technically embarrassing. Feels like we were conned when you look back at the old adverts and promises they made
Most of the bugs are seemingly around Character and Vehicle movement, seeing as cut scenes are rendered in real time. TBH they're mostly just hilarious! Had a couple on the Skyscraper mission where I couldnt progress that did annoy me a bit as I had to load an earlier autosave to fix it (1 was a body I needed to search fell through the floor, the other was my mate just stood still and wouldnt walk to the lift).
It is quite glitchy but im glad I didnt buy it for last gen consoles, I'd be fuming. Looks fine on Series X! Quite nice but I can see room for improvement so look forward to the Next-Gen Update.
Other than that, you can tell its a PC-Port. Its a bit clunky sometimes with a controller whereas I know it'd be a lot better with a mouse. Nothing to spoil it though, really enjoying it so far!
I feel like they definitely pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes with the whole next gen thing. I was so hyped for it but I rarely get games on release so didn’t bother this time either. Will wait till I pick up a ps5 and it’s properly released for next gen
So we got this game recently. Well, I purchased it for my brother. I've not played it, but he has - said even the opening cut scene was buggy (PS4).
He was saying that the creators had a contract with the Polish government to have the game released in 2020. Apparently said company also makes up 1% of Poland's GDP too.
Could explain the lacklustre graphics on the older consoles - rushing it out so as not to void the contract.
Some really scummy stuff coming out in the last couple of days.
CDPR basically embargoed reviews and didn't give anyone a copy of the PS4/Xbox copies for review, they knew there were a lot of issues but pushed it out anyway, because gotta make that holiday season money.
Now they're telling everyone they can have refunds, but never communicated with Sony or Microsoft. I don't know about MS, but Sony will 100% not refund you, so you can email CDPR and you might get a response in a couple of weeks, probably an apology but still no refund. To just tell everyone they can have a refund without doing any leg work with the other companies involved is a joke, basically just trying to make themselves look better and pushing the flak to someone else. I'm fairly certain anyone that sold you a physical copy also won't refund you.
I get that games are expected to be buggy at release these days (as much as I hate the practice) but there are plenty of things in this game that would've been picked up with even basic play testing, so they must've known about a lot of the issues.
Also, sounds like the working conditions and crunch has been ridiculous, financial greed is killing product quality in the gaming sector. CDPR are based in Poland and it sounds like a lot of their staff, after the success of Witcher 3 have left to go to American/Western European companies where they get paid 3x as much, so they've lost a lot of talent.
Played quite a bit, it's enjoyable as a linear experience if you stick mostly to quests etc, but the AI is embarrassing, the police spawning is a joke and the fact they can't drive is just incompetent. It's so easy even on the hardest difficulty because lots of enemies will just let you pour bullets into their head without reacting and tech weapons, you can shoot through infinite amounts of walls. I just did a mission where you have to follow a car, and the scripted cars coming out of every junction pulling in front of you just feels so tedious, especially combined with the fact that the collision mechanics in cars are terrible. As a visual and storytelling experience it's great, but the gameplay underneath it is very weak in places.
I've not experienced a huge amount of issues on PC, certainly none of the ones described in #146.
I would imagine once they release the next gen upgrade then XSX and PS5 will be up to mid tier PC standard for bugs and performance.

Just finished main story. 26hours. Was going to carry on after too but it didnt give me any of the things its supposed to when you complete it, and all the XP and level up points from the last missions.
Bloody loved it though.
I hear that a lot about NMS, so imagine how good and impactful it could've been if they'd just waited and released it i the state it is now; how much more money they probably would've made.
Same with Cyberpunk, it's good now, but rather than pushing it out to hit a certain sales period or because you set a release date and it was too ambitious; imagine how impactful it would be if they waited another 6 months, got it right and then released it.
Things like the world, and the graphics on PC are the best in any game ever, so without all this fiasco, and if they'd just polished other stuff, this would've been the best game ever made, but instead it's just good.
What they needed to do is have the world etc they have, but they had to at least match the standards for AI set by GTA5, instead they couldn't even match GTA3.
