Cylinder order

[Troubbled turbo]

Been looking all over to try and find what order the cylinder are numbered and had no luck, if anyone could help that would be appreciated and any tips on how to change an injector thanks.

did a quick search, but couldn't find anything... I've gone to connect my ht leads on the 172 engine but need to know what cylinder numbers are which :D the mk1 16v is cambelt 4 and gearbox 1, but I hear the 172 is cambelt 1 and gearbox 4? which is the right numbering?

The cylinder ordering is in the above post. As for removing the injector and rail it's pretty easy. 3 bolts (one removes the fixing for all the wiring. Take that off to remove the fuel line more easily.) When you put them back in, make sure you use some sort of lubrication. I use WD40 on my fingers and then lightly lubricate the O rings. Helps massively when putting them back on

Have a lot of paper towel ready to catch any fuel that leaks out of the fuel rail, (or squirts out if you are unlucky).

Its all good if you are round the front but if it starts squirting at the rear you are in trouble.
