so what bar should i pump the tyres up to, or pressure or however its measured

Heard someone else mention lowering the seats.

They think it drastically lowers the centre of gravity!!!

No it does work mate, put the seats down in the back, take the parcel shelf out and take it for a burn, if you dont notice a difference then you just dont know how to give you car full beans...

ok i will try it, i need to leave my parcel shelf in though, have 6x9's in it, does pumping up tyres rock hard help? to what pressue?

doubt that will make any diff on a 1.2, if on any car. may as well remove them. It will def sound faster due to less 'sound dendening' resulting in louder exhaust noise

weight reduction is the only way you realisticly going to make it 'faster' in a small engine car. well brakes and suspension also.

Funny you should mention the seat thing i had mine down earlier today and it seemd a little quicked :S

Weight kills accleration so loose as much weight in the car as possible. And dont pump your tyres up beyond what they should be- 32psi at teh front, 29psi at the back

LOL at this thread. Yep, I can confirm lowering your back seats will make your car go faster. Its to do with polyrado affect on the astrogenic atmospheric drag. Just ask the Corsa boys!! :)
