Daily beater

  chumpmobile
Yeah pretty annoying but as mentioned elsewhere a good friend of mine is a panel beater/sprayer so we will be masking the wheels up and just sorting the rims, as for getting rear ended the passat is so tough it was only a cracked bumper, thats all sorted now

I like the blacked out vw badge rather than the badgeless grill, think they look too smooth, the other thing is this car really also owes me nothing at all so i am reluctent to spend more, that and the fact i have another project i should/need to focus all my money keeps this as is

mmm

the tinting spray may be an idea, but again i am not really that bothered, i think the car is pretty much there now,

Not bad for a VAG bus. I'm still not keen on the wheel colour, but I don't know if any other colours would look any better!

when i spec'd them i was originally going for a machined face, then they said i could basically have whatever colour i wanted, and they really do some beautiful colours. I then saw the Mirror bronze and thought they were the ones however i was fully intending to go satin white or possibbly cream with the car... however i then changed my mind thinking that would be a complete waste for a daily and now i think the bronze works very well with the green...

the greens a bit grandady but thats what i think work.... kind of...

The green has really grown on me over the last couple years. Used to hate it and now I only dislike it. Loads of depth when it's polished though.

One thing I loved about my green was how it popped after a good finish (Yes, West Coast customz language IIRC?).

Love this, missed reading up about it in the mag :(

Love the Roti's, suit the car so well i think :)

Good enough to lick, some would say?
Love that it's a Ssangyong colour! Winning.

the wheels aren't originally that colour but that was the match we used for the rim, with a little bit of black rattlecan mixed in over the top of the colour prior to clearcoat...

Well my life situation has changed of recent and in the next few weeks i have a real nasty commute ahead of me. I will be doing around 112 miles daily. As much as i love the passat i will be filling it back up every 3rd day, and at £70 per tank its not really viable.

I am considering selling it and getting some kind of small diesel, clio, 106 or something.
I am unsure what i would get for the passat but £2k with all the bits still on would be nice...

whats peoples thoughts on the clio's or anything else... suggestions?

nope, hence why i have no problems with silly low sumps..
1.8 non turbo...

Ah i had that engine in my old MK4. Not the best tbh. Infact my 20vt is better on fuel.

Its a shame it has to go. Get a polo TDi..;) My mate had one and it used to get 70mpg..haha
