I will put the original wheels back on and remove the audio but you can keep the coilovers.

£300.

Taxed until november, MOT until August.

f**k SAKE. Just did a quote on your van and it's more than a f**king lot to insure! Otherwise I'd have had that Dan.

i seriously think the passat will have to go now,
unless i can wangle some kind of swaps within the family, i will pitch that to my sister / gf (not the same person...lol)

other favorites at the moment are clio DCi's

i looked at 306 HDi's but they are another £100 tax ontop of the clio's
suggestions?

Astra 1.7 dti eco4, £30 a year road tax and 60mpg. (I did bristol > Manchester < Bristol on £25)

Peugeot 406 hdi. Proper proper comfy cars, bear that in mind if you're doing a lot of commuting.

206 1.4 hdi. £30 a year road tax

Golf or a bora, Leon or Toledo respectively tdi. good comfy cars and cheap as chips to run.

cheers dan, will look into them,
hopefully the nasty commute will be short term, we are actively seeking somewhere to move to asap, after that i will just be doing at max the same as what i was doing to bath,
if i had the choice i would keep the passat, touch-wood its been pretty much faultless, it looks kinda cool and its super comfy.

i think the jap/us spec are the same...lol either way its smooth.
yep up on ukpassats, ed38 and soon to be on pistonheads, any other ideas welcome.

Jap spec is usually just a shorter plate recess.

Also try SW-dubs, Vag Owners. They're both local clubs/forums. Also id try UK-Mkivs. I know its not a golf but everything seems to sell through there thats VW related.

so the passat is still up for sale,
it has only been just over a week but i have had very little interest on any of the forums it has gone up on,

few people asking questions but nothing really.... shame

It's that gosh darn engine! Nobody wants it :( I wish I could insure Pissrats. Pretty sure its the minicabbers who push the premiums up on those, and Skoda Octavias/Superbs!

the engine is an advantage...lol
with a diesel or petrol turbo it would have a massive sump and would not be able to roll daily low static without issues...lol

Is the sump that high? Seems a bad time for selling cars at the mo.

Slightly off topic, can i steal your mini add? The mrs is selling hers soon, same spec but a cab..I'll change it slightly obviously..haha

All Passats are like that. My friends old Tdi just used to scrape on the chassis. Lucky barstewards! The sump on the Bora was loowwwww.

So everything is still up for sale, surprised i have had little interest really.
despite the car potentially being on the way in the near future i spent a good amount of time yesterday working on the interior, a deep cleanse hoover and alot of time spent shampooing the seats, come up really well.

someones going to get a very well looked after car for not much monies

thought i'd update this one last time...

the passat sold friday just gone, i had someone interested for a while but it was just organising everything. The new owner bought it blind going just by images and my good nature, it was a purchase for his 17 year old son who has just passed his text, the 1.8 non turbo engine being an advantage there then...

the money cleared on friday so i prepped the car for collection over the saturday, the car was being collected by a third party today (a company that deals in car transportation, usually high value vehicles),
this is how she looked.... (terrible imo on the steels

Plate back on the front... (can't believe i never got pulled for not running it, what was that? well over 6 months....lol)

and the rotiforms were stacked in the back (i was not leaving them on for them to get wrecked on the way up)
IMG_1311.jpg

the driver collected the car today from my friends bodyshop were i had it stored, apparently my friend had to do a fair bit of convincing with the driver as he initially stated he wasn't going to take it as it was too low...
it should be almost at its new home by now (cambridgeshire), i hope the new owner looks after it and enjoy's it like i did,

truly a great purchase, my 2nd best purchase after my 1.8 16v clio a few years back...
