Dam clios

Well i dont no if you ever have this but some times it just seams like one thing after another?

Got new clutch fitted and replaced yesterday, and its great to have the car working properly again, and the power in second instead of slipping and high revs. Came to star the car today and the starter motor is now Knackered. I thought previously that it was just sticking and neaded cleaning. I need a new one!? Waht do you guys think!?

Also is it easy to replace for a novice!? As everyone knows, working on clios sucks ass and is a nightmare. To get to one part you have to take off various other parts like manifold ect.

So basically do you think its f*cked, and is it easy to refit a new one with the right tools for a novice!?

Cheers dudes

Haynes manual says you have to remove the exhaust downpipe and heatsheild, so youll need to have a way of supporting the car safely while your under it.. but the actual job looks pretty simple on paper!! (always does tho lol)

i put an old wheel flat under the car while im under it just as a bit of added security if it might be in danger of falling. stack it up with wood and wedge the thing in. makes me feel more comfortable under there anyway:)

Get a haynes manual and take a look. If it ever says "simply" or "just remove" then get a pro to do it because they usually never tell you how you "simply" do anything. Took me 40 mins trying to get my rear seats out following there "simply remove the rear seats" guidance. True it took my bro 30 seconds but thats beside the point.

starter moters on valver arent to bad.the exhaust front pipe will probably be the most awkward part of the job.
