Dammit! Car too low...

... for my parking space at work :(

Got my own space at work with a folding bollard. Lowered the car 40mm last Monday and Ive been driving in and out of the my space every day since then with no problems. Until yesterday. Something only just scraped the folded down bollard, and I mean only just scraped. But today something - exhaust, cat? - really hit the bollard, totally battered it - I felt it as well as hearing it. Not good.

Must be the springs settling down to their proper drop then... :( :)

Hope this cheers some of you lot up. Im having a $hit morning at work.

my centre section is the only thing that rubs, and thats only when going slow over speed bumps

rest of the time im fine

At lunch, pull up to the bollard with you front bumper just over it. Get out (i know your at work) and have a look see if anything is going to catch. As its daylight, you might also see if there are any marks on the underside. MY money would be on the exhaust as it about the lowest part of the under side of the car

Why wait for lunch - as soon as the boss goes out Im going off to faff around in the car park :devilish:

Think its the exhaust too, but need to confirm. Probably not doing it much good either!

Cheers

my centre section has rubbed/scraped many times, was even totally bottomed out at my local chinese due 2 huge speedbump lol, got out and had a look under and was just laughable

anyway had a gd look at the centre section the other day, all it has is a few scratch marks on it, nothing serious

I know the feeling mate. The new house we are moving into has Mt Everest style speed bumps down the road which dont agree with my 182 lowered 40mm. Cat slightly scrapes. Had a peek when fitting my new exhaust, like said above it was a few scratches really so im not too bothered. Hopefully impending decat pipe will save me the precious couple of cms!!!!!
