Damn Sodding Grille!

  A Flamin' Red one
Guys, I'm having trouble removing my Dynamique front grille which I want to replace with an RS item. I've done quite a few searches through the forums but have found nothing specific in the way of a guide - just lots of people saying how easy an operation it is to perform. This is what baffles me. Where are the clips, etc? I've read of people having to remove their entire front bumper :S

So, would someone be kind enough to do a step by step on the removal and re-fit of a front grille. Pretty please!? I've got a black diamond on it's way and I want the grille on at the same time. Maybe this thread could become a sticky as I've seen quite a few questions like this.

Thanks in advance :D

some people have no sympathy for those with no common sence or mechanical logic, so for these cabbages, a small guide as it is the simplest operation on the planet, once you have performed it you will realise this and kick yourself and hide in a corner.
Firstly, remove two clips at top of grille, usually a quarter turn with flat screwdriver adn a bit of a tease and they pull out, failing that make it fall out with force from behind,
then, apply pressure to the grille from the front while working your way around the clips wiggling them about untill the grill pops loose,
then, push new totally better looking grille back in the way the old one came out (surely you will be able to work this out, if not pm me :) )
then, just simply push the two clips at the top of the grille back in

Sorted!!!

and for the badge, perform step 1 then screw badge out with a 20t screwdriver, if anything like mine will be tight, fit new badge, rescrewing with the same 20t screwdriver :) then re-apply the clips at top of grille

ps: i realise that some clio models have a bonnet switch in the grille, mine doesnt :rasp: im sure you can work out how to take it off and swap into new grille

start in the bottom right corner and work your way along mate, by undoing the top clips you should be able to get behind it, its a fiddle but once the far right hand side is off then its easy

Thanks Jungle_Jim. Just had a search for your car. It looks great on those 17's. There aren't many wheels that I think look good on the clio other than standard but those can ride shotgun!
