Dangerous Brakes

basically i have very dangerous brakes, its a mk1 RT...

i have had my brakes bled, new discs/pads but the brakes dont seem to have any give... it slows gently when pushing the pedal down but it gets to a point when they just lock on... it is not so bad in the dry but in the wet they lock up very easily and just lock on!!

it really doesnt feel right, i have driven mates cars without ABS and there brakes are more of a gradual slowing down, when you push it to the floor, they will lock up... but mine feel completely different.

any ideas what might be causing it?

Binding calipers maybe, go someware like Kwik-fit and get a free brake check.

calipers being old mean theyre not operating properly and smoothly

could poss be the master cylinder too

would the rsi brake setup be the best option?

May require new sliders or at least a good clean, and as Ben said, may be the master cylinder.

Best to take the wheels of and see how freely the sliders move, then go from there.
