Dash and Clocks

i want to put a mk2 phase 2 dash into a mk2 phase 1 clio, i have heard this can be done but are the clocks etc direct replacement and what will happen come mot time as the mileages will be different??

Yea was just worried tht the clocks from the phase 1 wouldnt fit in the phase 2 dash so thats why was gonna change the whole lot but if they fit into the phase 2 dash that would be handier!
