Dash lights flicker!!!!

Hi all I've a bit of a problem with my dash lights
the illumination of them that is. When I turn my
lights on the lights that illuminate my speedo flicker
on and of in the end the settle down. I remember some
time ago there was a guide talking about dry joints but
I cant find it if anyone can help or advice please??

Check the earthing for the dashboard

sounds like a loose connection somewhere like edde says ....
