Dash Removal

Hi,

Im just wanting to know how easy it actually is to remove and reinstall a dash from a mk2 ph2.
I know its only 7 screws etc and there are guides available I just dont feel they are detailed enough, Im not calling the various guides more calling my ability.

Im wanting to run my satnav cable through the dash instead of draped over it, im not looking to make a custom mounting system as some members have.

My biggest worry is taking the dash off and not getting it back on correctly.

How easy is it, i suppose im just going to have to bite the bullet?!

its dead easy.

i wrote the guise after removing my dash approx 12 times (dont ask), and not had a single problem any of the times.

you cant really get to the tweeters without taking it off.

remove pillar covers and all torx screws (some in air windscreen air vent, and behind the clip on silver stipy bits, some near steering column) sort of lift/pull it off

lol sorry

right well, did it a while ago -
remove door seals, and unclip the pillar covers leave them hanging on the alarm wires.
undo all torx screws as i say some behind the silvery bits (which just unclip), some inside the windscreen air vent (you can see them if you look from outside- be careful not to drop them down the vent!!!), take off underside of steering column and there are some there. think thats all of them and it should just pull off. just ease both sides and see if it really pulls at certain points and you may have forgotten a screw. think thats everything? if anyone wants to add.....
