Dash Satnav

Hi

I've been looking at building a carputer for years now, but never get round to it!

I stumbled accross a couple of posts with dash mounts like the pic below. Was wondering if anyone could tell me how much these are? Where to get them? Would it fit a 182? how big is the screen area?

Looks like the 182 Sat Nav dashboard, rare stuff and very pricey from Renault.

Best thing would be to build something like Has had.

Cheers lads, any idea if I could get more info online anywhere? I've tried google but getting no where! Or is it call to renault?

call renault but they will want your reg etc, but i'm sure its more like £400 from renault its stupidly expensive, as they sellt he whole dash when the only difference is the cowel round around the clock, but they sell the dashes with the vents and stuff bonded in as whole units for silly money.

some sold the sat nav dask here for £250 second hand and he has modded for a 7 inch screen iirc.

a cheaper option would probably to get some to make a cowel out of fibre glass or something for you.

Call up Renault but as jaff said I'm sure it's about the 400/500 mark

That dash part also came in some 172's but as said it's rare.

The wiring is meant to be a mission too.

Hmmm thanks for the info, called Renault and he told me 2135... must have meant something else! Surely it can't be that much. He did say that that was not including the satnav unit lol

Lol that sounds about right coming from Renault!

Better off making a custom mount to fit the space in the dashboard that already exists.

Ok I've spoken to Renault again and he thinks it's about £330 for the dash, however cant be sure unless I give him a number plate of a car that already has this fitted.

I found one on autotrader, but when he put the reg number in his computer he said it was an import. Does anyone know of a UK car that has the satnav dash?

Yep, dashboards are excactly the same.

It's 152+Vat for the dash, about 30ish for the screenholder. My screen was about 70 (6.7") and the sat nav buttons are a bloody fortune. I used them to control the screen.

Also you may want to consider mounting the clock display somewhere else. I made up some extension leads to extend the clock display loom without any cutting of wires.
