Dash warning Light 172 cup

Theres a light on my dash which doesn't light up when I start the engine. Its a warning triangle with a picture of a car tipped slightly to one side with a squiggle underneath it - does anyone know what this is for or why it isnt lighting up ?? I thought it might be something that the cup doesn't have rather than the bulb being blown ???

From what your saying it sounds like ESP or traction control light cups dont have it.
