Reporting you for silly things, the same could be said for mobile phones when i was a kid you could go on Waste ground anywhere on motorbikes and be left alone ,now people just can't keep there noses out and either film you or straight on the phone to the police.Invading your privacy, how?
Not been reported yet! ,but we all make mistakes and do silly thingsLike? Youve obviously done something 'silly' and been reported?
I've used the Novatek A119 for years (3 cameras in total), its a fit and leave unit and has served us very well for <£50I think I want one tbh. Some dick almost had me in a RS7 the other day trying to cut in as the mway goes 4 lanes to 3.
Anyone recommend a cheapy one?
I can understand where the OP is coming from with this tbh. There are far too many people now with dashcams who are simply out to try and be some shite vigilante and catch people who do the tiniest thing wrong on the roads.
That being said, they absolutely have their place in genuine incidents and can prove invaluable at times.
I tend not to worry about the above types any more though. The police don't have the resources to go investigating everyone's bad driving habits and I'm pretty sure if they went crying to the police going "look what the bad man did to me!" they'll just get laughed at.

Nothing but you never know! What did you do then, lol.
Our privacy is getting eroded away slowly and now were doing the polices job for them.I can understand where the OP is coming from with this tbh. Who?If it wasn't for these dashcams/helmetcams, we wouldn't know who Ronnie Pickering is 😂
Who?
WHO?!Ronnie Pickering!
WHO?!
Who the f***s that??RONNIE PICKERING!
Who the f***s that??
Cctv and plate recognition everywhere. Cia watching you w**k using your phone/webcam. Mobile logging your movements pretty much 24-7.Our privacy is getting eroded away slowly and now were doing the polices job for them.
If you're not driving like a tool on the road then there's no need to worry about other people having them, and one day their footage could be invaluable if you are involved in an accident which is disputed. I only see them as a good thing on UK roads which are getting worse and worse with the behaviour of drivers.
I've had them in all my cars for years and even used footage in a dispute of an accident.
I reckon you give them too much credit. I doubt the average road user gives it that much thought.I've seen so many mongrels with dashcams driving moronically into clearly avoidable accidents just because they're right and they can prove it.
Apart from the last ten words that was exactly what I was about to write.
The main reason I have them is to determine blame. It's rare I put anything up online from my cameras...unless there's something to learn from it.
