hi everyone,

i have sanded and plastic primered my engine cover today and i am now stuck what colour to paint it, either satin black to make the bay look tidy or go all out and paint it purple like other parts of my car to set it all off.

opinions please :)

Lol I am not painting those bits purple, f**king textured surface and it's a b**ch to paint right. Just did those in black so no fuss and the oil filler cap hole black so it can get oil on without spoiling the purple. Thiers method in the thinking ;).

The things I do when I get bord...... The blooming car will be purple inside every where next

One thing thats worrying me, is the foam underneath for heat protection perposing or for noise dampening ? I have taken mine off but if it's important I will stick it back on

i might just devise a way of dampening the vibration from the engine, when it had the foam on it was rattling so i took the cover off, now im painting it to go back on, thought id make sure first :)

Hi mate,
That piece that you have on the spray can. What is it called and does it make the finish any different or dont you know.
Cheers

It's a spray trigger I got from halfords. Makes spraying allot more controlled when using cans, and so far yes it's helping to make a better finish vs a standalone rattle can :)
