dci injector fault !!!!!!

hi guys, after washing the car i noticed a loud tapping noise. anyway, popped bonnet and pulled engine cover off to find a black oily diesely tar substance. the tapping was coming from the right hand injector (4th as you look left to right). as the car got warmer it quitened down abit. my old man has had a look and has said the injectors knackered.

anybody know how much a new injector would be if i went to renault for it to be replaced inc re-coding if necessary. cheers. nick..

you can get refurbed ones of ebay, will be cheaper than renault i expect , not sure what the dealio with recoding is though, have a search on ebay.

Sounds like its chuffing out of the injector seal. Just remove the injector and replace the copper washer. Should sort it out.

ive had this replaced the day after the cambelt was changed.

went to garage today, and been told the seal has blown again. getting replaced tomorrow.

The injector wells need to be very clean and carbon free for a perfect seal.

May just need a a need copper washer matey.

Mrs had an injector go down on hers, you can only get them as a kit now all 4. @ £435 just for the parts its not funny, in the end i only paid £80 for all 4 and coded them myself.
