i drive a mk2 ph1 clio. i always thought that all the badges on the boot had pins that were in the boot. at renault world series someone told me that the renault one doesnt have any pins behind it, think his name was haas. i just want to know if i took my badge off what would be behind it? would the paint work be ok and it wont damage it at all will it?

Hairdryer, heat badge for a few, then use thread behind the badge to slowly cut it away. Remaining adhesive should peel off.

All depends on which Mk you have.

The Mk1 Ph1 def has glue and pins and they are stuck on to the boot strip, not the actual boot.
