De-cat

Hi , ive recently bought a decat for my 182,
Im going to fit in the next few weeks just wanted peoples advice really , im thinking of adding a lambda spacer to keep the MIL off as its going to annoy me and concerens me that if anything else goes down without a reader ill not know ,
But ive been told not to as running it with this may damage the engine :S ie telling it that its running lean and over fuel

Can people advise on what they think im better doing , just running it with the spacer ? or leave it with the mil on and buy a code reader ?
I dont fancy a headache from fitting a decat lol

Fit a bung and leave the lambda tucked up underneath.

If you go for the spacer, should you run both lambdas with them or just one of the two?

Mine aint come on yet on my 172 but it came on after a week on my old 182
