Decal remnoval...any tips?

It's nice and sunny which helps...should I still use a hairdryer to heat them right up or is sunshine enough?

Also, what's best for cleaning off the sticky residue left behind?

i'd guess at you'l be better using a hair dryer. then auto glym tar and glue remover to get rid of the residue. that should be enough.

Do not under any circumstances use that ^^ on anything but glass!!! Probably use a hairdryer anyway Mark and try to take as much off in one go instead of small bits.
Best way I found was once you get hold of a corner keep as short a hold as close to the car on the sticker/graphic as possible

It took the Tigger decal of my bootlid - no problem!
But it was just used to lift it so I could tear the rest off

used a steamer thing that removes wall paper.

There old mans van was fully vinyl wraped when he got it and i took the whole lot off in less than a day. Even takes the glue off
 
  renault clio 172 cup
use a hairdryer/heatgun then you can use petrol to remove the glue
I do this type of thing in my job as a signwriter
