Decat 1.2 16v Engine Management Light

Hi i know most of you are finking Whats the Point in Decating a 1.2 but i wanted it for raspy-ness not speed.

But whilst putting back on the Cat i did not -Cooper Grease or Gum Gum Around the Lamba Sensor Holes. Is this posible That after the rain yesterday with Massive Poodles Every where- that water has got in and damaged the Lamba sensor? OR does the Engine Management Light come on after a while with decating ?

Light comes on after decatted, nothing to worry about.

It happens because the car is now spewing out emissions because it's decatted, the post cat lambda realises this and thinks there's something wrong and throws the light up on the dash.

Thanks for that guys was getting me Worried you see as i Decated it on Wensday and it only come on last night.

By the way Being that this engine Magment light is on now Does this mean it will be Pushing less fuel throw to Componsate with the Emmision's?

get a diagnostic check thing done and make sure its just the lambda

If memory serves, you should be able to cure this by resetting the ECU. Make sure you have your stereo code before you do it but disconnect the battery for approx 30 mins, reconnect it, fire her up and it should be ok.

It works with a lot of my mates who do it here, not necessarily on Renaults, but other makes too.

I have done all of the above and still no response. I shell be getting it on the diagnostics next wensday to make sure it is reading the lamba sensors.
