how many lambda sensors does your car have??

mine is decatted it has one sensor and is fine the sensor just goes into the hole in the decat. not had a problem with mine

i understand from a friend of my the sensor goes after the cat and when you remove it, it gives you error and the car runs like crap.

by my friend it seems the late ph1 (mine is a 2002 reg) has 2 lamda sensors before and after the cat.

can someone confirm this?

so you just stick the one from the cat in the decat and it doesnt do any problems with the ecu?

  A number of clios
no as long as you leave the one in the manifold mine go's in top of the manifold so there's no need to touch it just stick the one out of the cat into the decat

yeah the late mk2 ph1's do have 2 sensors.

Just unplug the one after the cat some Mk1 172's don't have two sensors if you do as I said just don't plug the second one in.

ifyou have a second sensor do not disconnected it or unbolt it and leave it disconnected it. the lambda has one job it measures the ammount of oxygen left in the exhaust gases.
the car will run shite if you unplug it or leave it pluged in but not bolted into the decat the light was also still come on regardless if you have it disconnected or connected but if its still in place and the light comes on it doesnt affect performance.

you mean as other people said just to bolt it in to the decat and the ECU wont go crazy because the oxygen levels are wrong...

leave it dont unbolt it dont unplug it and you'll be ok ive done extensive tests with all options and this works the best.
