Decat or not decat - Scorpion cat back

Just wondering what to do with my 182
I currently have a resonated cat back Scorpion SRN019 and find it a tad loud, even with the standard cat fitted, has a boomy drone that gives me a headace on motorway!

Will a decat take away a lot of the boomy noise or will it just make it same but even louder? I'd like some more raspy instead of boomy and droney.

Will a non resonated center section make much difference? Looking for quiet and raspy.. If that's even possible?

A decat won't help with noise levels but they do tend to get a better rasp.
Non res centre section won't help either, will make it louder IMO.

Can't be that bad, I've got a decat yozza on my 182 and it certainly wakes me up in the mornings.

It'll add rasp when booting it but it won't make it quieter.

Was your previous car a Rolls Royce? A Scorpion cat-back with centre silencer and cat in place is too loud?

In fairness, those Scorpion SRN019's are renowned for being too boomy, I'd swap it for an RS192 if I were you, especially for less boom.

If you want more rasp and less boom then removing the centre silencer (non-res) is the one to do. Decat will just make the existing noise louder from my experience.
