Decat problem

  turbo 182
Bought a 2nd hand scorpion decat came with a new rear 2 bolt clamp for the olive joint so i then bought a genuine manifold to cat fitting kit, problem is the new gasket that came in fitting kit wont fit inside the flange of the decat and is a fair bit bigger however it sits nicely into the original cat flange with no issue at all, do the scorpion decats have a tighter flange or is it been badly manufactured? The person i bought it off must have had the same issue as me as there is remains of exhaust paste around the flange. I have managed to get it on the car using old gasket as it was slightly smaller and the old springs from the fitting kit as they are shorter than the new 1s but ive got them fully tightened up and it is still blowing as the gasket wont fit into the flange of the decat. Any help or advice would be great cheers

Sounds like the decat is dodgy , the fact hat it mates up to the manifold fine. Fire a picture up of the decat to manifold end

Its on the car now mate, wont get it off till the weekend, they are ment to be lifetime warranty would they replace it as im not the origanal buyer? I can remember the flange on the decat not been as deep as the origanal cat flange and looks as if some1 before me has tried to open the flange out
