decat question

So had the car just over a week and its been spot on, still is. When I got the car I was made aware because its running a decat that the engine light may come on, it did as I pulled into the drive before, not that you needed to know exactly where it happened. Anyway, is there anyway I can do something to prevent it happening, and without removing the bulb lol. I have read some do some don't so its of no major concern, just annoying :'(

get a freindly garage to plug in and cancel it for you, mine came on canceled it at work and its been off ever since (several k so far)

Yeah I can get the lads in work to do it tomo, suppose there's no other remedy bar putting the cat on.

They usually come on and off on there own accord. I know they don't tend to come on so much if your running the rs tuner map I don't know why

I'm pretty sure it will come back on again if you take it off with a code reader.

I've read on here that you can remove the post cat lamda, bag it up, zip tie it out the way, then block off the hole.

Don't know if that's rght or not, it's just what i've read.

Iirc it carbon deposits on it that puts the light on.

I have the post cat lambda removed and tucked up behind the heat shield but the light still comes on occasionally it goes off on its own after a while.

I'm sure you can get a lambda thread extension so the sensor sits slightly out of the pipe and reads lower emissions

Just buy that and try deleting it see what happens some stay off some dont.

Mine was off for about 3days after fitting the decat but is now on.

Yes you can delete the fault code. It'll just come back on again though.

I just removed the post cat sensor entirely. Unplugged, the works.

Never had an issue (ph1)

Took my error code off with RS Tuner and it never came back on 1000s of miles later, still not on
