Decat with standard exhaust

Ive had a non factory exhaust and decat on my 172 and it was great.

Now have a 182 and want to keep the standard look.

Would it be a good idea to get a decat with the standard exhaust? Will it sound gay? and will there be any implications?

i was thinkin about doin this aswell to my standard system.i did run a btb for a week or so but found it too loud for me(getin old i think lol).i was sort of thinkin that this might still show a small gain in mid range as the standard cat looks very restrictive.i no that the guys on here say the emmisions light came cum on tho with a decat.....

Yeah emission light definatley comes on, so would have to swap come MOT time. But its such an easy job.

Anyone else doen this?

I have got a cup with decat and standard exhaust! just sounds the same! do it!

I've just put a janspeed decat on my standard 172 exhaust last week and now it sounds great, its begining to burble more now and it make the exhaust sound a fuller

Yeah, but the full Yozzasport system and Decat sounds better.
