A couple of news ones, which has been my main type of photography this year. The first being a base jumping Minion...

The second was the one and only time I have needed to use a fisheye lens for a news item. I didn't realise I had left my wide angle lens at home so had to improvise (Smethwick plastic fire)...

I've taken less than 200 photos this year... I really need to get my lenses fixed and find some enthusiasm for it again. There are some truly great entries in this thread and here's my effort to purely bump up the numbers!

Don’t forget to mark it clearly as your entry otherwise it won’t be entered :)

thats brilliant! im really into light pollution photos and i really want to get a good one of the stars like this but im pretty new to long exposure and i was just wondering what guideline settings youd recommend?

Cheers.
I think from the top of my head, it was 30 seconds exposure, lowest f number (probably f4 for that lens) and I think the iso was around 3200. Shot on a Canon 550d with a Sigma 10-20 lens. Some people won't shoot over 800 iso and I've seen some that are shot at 6400. Depends on the iso handling of your camera to how high you want to bump it. If you shoot at iso 100, you won't pick up much light pollution, but at the same time, will hardly pick up any stars.

Best thing is to find somewhere really dark. This was one of the darkest places in North Wales and the light pollution still crept in. Try a few settings. Use bulb mode and go for longer. A friend shoots 50 seconds with his fisheye lens and it has some good results.
