Decided to decat

Oh well I bit the bullet and the the cat taken out.. Sounds very different now, seems to be a lot more throaty,

also the kind fella re adjusted all my exhaust mounts as the last garage had made a rite hash of things and bought a new rear mount as the last garage instead of telling me that the original one was wrecked they put some crappy thing on which was like a piece of sheet metal with a rubber on it that kept bending and making the back box sag.

Looks 100% better than it did I don't have any before pics but here is a few after ones

Cut out looks a bit big maybe get a 182 exhaust surround?

de-catted mine recently and I agree its a lot more throaty at lower revs especially, may be just me but seems a bit flat now though at lower revs as a result.

I know but the previous stage made a right mess of the last cut out I complained and refused to let them touch it again so took it somewhere else to sort it... Believe me I know it's big but its 100% better than it was.. The last one was square and wonky. To be fair to the guy who sorted it he's made a good job from the bad start.. Mine felt a tad flat anyway the only difference I've noticed is the noise...

yeah cut out looks shabby, the exhaust mount is total rubbish. My last one lasted 6 months, others have lasted less than that!

Would it not be better to get a new rear bumper and get a stelth ?

Yea I know the feeling, I replaced my recessed exhaust and the new one sits below the bumper lol so got a cut out, need a new bumper tbh.

Pleased I got the de-cat though

Only one I know of atm is the carbon ones, check the for sale section or put a wanted thread up?

Try Ktec for a non carbon one. I know they include them with their Exhaust Kits.

Cheers bud, ive ordered one now so fingers crossed it will fit... The cut out looks a bit bigger than a 182 now on mine so it could be going straight back up for sale

Carbon exhaust surround arrived today, looks as though it will just fit and hide the cut... So ideas on how to bond it on? What's the best substance to use? Thanks
