Right, got the money for some H&R coilovers and just going to order them from motorsport world. Do I order a Janspeed decat aswell, got the money and theyre only 130 quid if remember right? or is there something else I could get, within reason?

not a fan of janspeed tbh but id definately order a de-cat but probably not theirs

Not a lot of choice appart from Janspeed unless you get a custom one made up!

you could speak to gdi as i believe they are getting prospeed to make some up, or direct to prospeed(i think thats what they are called) unless you can source a 63.5mm supersprint one or possibly have one made up locally for alot less. ive never been a fan of the quality of janspeed i have a couple of mates who had systems of theirs on their car and apart from not being impressed with the sound they both fell apart. one had three replacements under warranty

Do they do much, any hike in performance, sound? Im only thinking of one cos yoz recommended doing it when I spoke to him last.

have you got a cat back system on the car already or you just looking to put the de-cat on on its own ? admittedly i had the supersprint full race system and definately noticed a vast improvement the car revs alot freer and seems alot more eager than with the cat on suffocating it.

No mate, standard system at the mo, cant afford a full new one right now and doubt I could get hold of the only one I want...what you had!

Wont make much of a difference on a standard exhaust but worthwhile doing as its then there for when you get a cat back.

Tell me about it, i miss that exaust. Never would have sold it if i was keeping the 172. Not sure of the effect of just the cat coming off as there are still a fair few boxes after the cat but i would think it will certainly help the car rev more freely.

You can probably get a custom decat made up for £130 if you have a look around.
