how long is the dephaser pulley supposed to last? seen a vid on youtube looks easy to change, has any 1done it, but kept same cambelt

Easy to change IF - you have 10+years experience working on F4R engines and you do 5-10 a week, then you can do them blind folded (i really must attempt it sometime!) and ALL the specialist locking tools to do the job (not laser shite off ebay!)not being arrogant, just the truth

what's your record for belt change (full cambelt kit, full aux kit including replacing the seals behind the dephaser/exhaust pully)

I did my volvo 940 turbo full belt kit in 30 mins, that reminds me i have a locking tool if interested Fred? haha

I've never really made a point of timing it but I thi I my record is just shy of 2 hours on my own car. That was with someone catching the parts as I chucked them at them lol.

front wheels off
front bumper off
slam pannel off
engine mount off
aux upper bracket off
cam covers off
dephaser/exhaust pulley off
replace oil seals
dephaser/exhaust pulley back on
new cambelt kit
time up
covers on
aux upper bracket on
aux kit on
slam panel on
bumper on
wheels on

done

in sub 2 hours? hum
