delay in the pedal? 4k in 1st?

basically whenever i put my foot down on the accelerater, you have to wait about a second and then you feel it kick in. its not instant unlike my old one.

also in first gear i get to 4 thousand revs, and it dies, no kain, it decreases if anything. But doesnt do this in any other gear?

anyone shed some light on either of these please?

it has a electronic throttle, no cable. This is causing the slight delay, as i think the signal from it goes to the ecu before the throttle body.

Might be some sort of torque limit in first gear to save the gearbox.

Standard mini coopers have this and the JC Works remap removes it which caused lots of isses with gearboxes breaking!
