Dell Inspiron Battery Problems

I've got a Dell Inspiron 1525 that has decided that it will only work off AC power, I have it plugged in and working fine, but it tells me when I hover over it that the battery is not charging.

Anything I could to get the battery to charge, or is something broken?

Cheers

i've got a dell 1501. my battery seems ot be working fine... but generally, from research when the power pack went bang it is basically replace...

thing is batteries are not cheap... bit annoying tbh.

have you tried another charger out of interest? long shot though.

Not tried another charger, don't know anyone who has a dell. Would it be the charger though if it can power the laptop but not charge it.

i don't know, i thought it may be worth a try (if you could find one ot borrow) beofre investing in a battery.

but tbh, it sounds like a battery issue. i reckon a new battery would be circa £60 after a quick google.

could be a charge circuit problem tbh

so really you need to lend a charger and battery

As above, it could be charging circuit (which is mainboard) so if you can, it's a good idea to get a borrowed one.

on most recent dells there is a 'button' on the battery to check the level of charge try it and see what its lookin at
