Bit of a Clio newbie - having owned 205/306 gti's upto now. I'm due to have the cambelt done soon on my 46k Clio 172 cup. Will the dephaser need changing at the same time as a precaution? And would it be sensible to change the water pump too considering the mileage?
Nobody ever mentions the exhaust pulley also. They have a built in damper and have been known to fail too. Depends how long you want to keep the car for. They are not cheap. iirc aa dephaser is around £125 and an exhaust pulley is around £60-70
I changed mine when i did the cambelt but mine does more miles on track than on road. and had done over 100k
