Dephaser pulley dieing?

I've noticed a "tapping" "rattling" noise coming from the dephaser pulley area...

The noise / rate of tapping increases under load... which makes me believe it is more so pulley related :dead:

Are there any tell tale signs of the dephaser pulley wearing, how long do they normally last?

The noise seems to be getting worse!

I would just check your plugs, could have worked loose on cylinder 3
