Detailing my car tomorrow

I am off uni tomorrow so decided to spend the whole day detiling my black 1.2.

I am first goin 2 use the 2 bucket method to wash the car with the megs microfiber wash mitt

I will then dry the car with the megs drying cloth

After i have dried the car i am goin to clay some parts of the car which are the worst

Then i will use the megs paint cleaner to take out any minor swirls etc

I will then use megs polish to trya nd get a bit of a shine onto the paint work

And lastly use megs gold class clear coat liquid car wash (mayb a couple of coats of this)

I will b using a pc for most of this!

Anyone gots any tips?

The Megs Paint Cleaner is chemical based, so won't do much for your swirls.

What machine polisher and pads you using ?

If you finish early do you fancy doing mine - lol only joking. Mine is currently in the garage atm having a VIP valet.

you think then i would be better just claying the whole car and leaving out the paint cleaner?

I am getting a lend of a mates so not sure yet what pads etc!

Whats the best way to clay a car

I would do both, clay will remove the bonded on contamination washing alone wont. The Paint cleaner will make short work of an oxidisation etc.

Either clay using a Quick Detail spray as lube, or mix up some car shampoo and water. Make sure the clay is warm and keep kneading it to get a clean face.

ok will the one piece of clay do the whole car? i have got some megs quick detailer lying about aswell!

once i spray the area with the quick detailer i rub the clay over the area then do i rinse it off or wipe it off?

One clay bar should be plenty. Split it into two or three.

If it gets well grimey and no longer folds to give a clean side, get new bit, same if you drop it.

Spritz the panel well, lightly glide the clay over, wipe of the QD with a cloth and carry on.

thanks and one last thing! how should i apply the 2 coats of wax?

Gold Glass ? They will not layer up like a pure Carnuba as it contains some cleaners - will only really ensure you get 100% coverage.

can i use this then and then apply a was prtector? whats would be best to keep topping up my wax and giving it a gd finish after each wash?
