developed a problem... Help required as I am not 100% what is wrong

Right here we go... Now and again in first and second gear when you push the car roughly between 4000-5000 rpm the car will Jerk and not rev any further until I release the throttle and engage it again, the engine managment light and the shift light will come on then go off, it happens every now and again... Right to me it sounds and feels like a missfire where the car is not making sufficent spark (prehaps a coilpack, spark plug or HG lead issue?) Anyone else experienced this problem? any advice much appreciated.

yes, not all the time though but as above engine managment light flashes on then off

new pedal, or new throttle body, dependant on which end is at fault. Needs plugging in to a scanner to see if it IS that first though

I have to agree with Danny here, does sound that way
