In the process of sorting a lot of my cars faults out at the moment. Long read sorry, could really use some ideas as to whats wrong. Car is on H&R coiloversas low as it will go and has 20mm spacers on all 4 wheels.
Knocking from Brakes?
When I stop (its usually after ive left it for more than 5 mins - not in stop start traffic) and set off again a noise comes from one of the brakes, as though the brake is stuck to the caliper and only releases again once I start moving. Like a loud knock. Ive only noticed this since having my camber bolts fitted a few weeks ago.
Bumping/knocking from passenger front at low speeds.
Second problem is at low speeds, I can often hear a knocking coming from the pasenger front side of the car. This has only started after having my camber bolts fitted and geo. setup. My foglight is lose on the passenger side from hitting a fox last year, I thought it may be that jumping about but ive only started noticing it since the setup. I damaged my arch liner on that side too, but that was in the first 2 weeks of driving it. Can anyone else think what it might be?
Steering wheel shakes at 70/80mph
Lastly, and this has been going on since that really bad snow we had end of last year, ive since had new tyres fitted and wheels re ballanced too. At 70-80mph + there is a shaking through the steering column as though my wheels are missing a weight and are out of ballance. But as mentiond ive recently had new tyres fitted and the wheels were balanced. yet it still does it. The cars geometry has been setup and alligned etc - I can post the results if required.
Could do with a few ideas as to what the problems might be. Cheers.
