Diesel Clio's, which are the good ones?

  dCi 65 + C2 (<Sold)
Depends on the mileage, service history, belts etc.

For a decent, reasonable mileage 80 you're looking at £3,500.

Not sure on the stupid spec names, Dynamique is what I've got.

thats what im looking at, whats a good price for an 80? 2.5/3k?

whats diff with priviledge/billabong/dyanmique etc?

100 is quicker obviously and will feel abit quicker with that extra torque. if you can get a 100, i'd say get one but if you want abit more choice go for the 80.

specs, priviledge - i think thats the top of the range, a/c, xenons possibly. trip computer.

billabong is one down from a dynamique with coloured seats normally red/green, not that appealing. some might not come with trip computer, not sure on that one.

dynamique is best all round for price, nice interior, comes with alloys and trip computer.

think they should all come with fogs

nearly ;)...

Authentique is the bottom of the range one, avoid that, dont even know if you can get a dci in that actually.

Privelidge is a pretty low speced one too never really saw one up close to look at one.

Expression has the electric mirrors, CD player after a certain year, wheeltrims no fogs or spoiler, no sports seats etc

Extreme is an expression with the dynamique styling and interior it also gets the dynamiques trip computer

Dynamique is the one to go for it has the sports interior, alloys, fog lights, rear spoiler, auto wipers, auto lights, cd player, options on them were climate control, electric sunroof, 6disc changer, xenons, ESP, cruise control and a few others i cant think

Initial is the top spec one, only available in 1.6 16v and dci100 from memory, all 4 door's, xenons, leather, climate, woden trim etc.

Unless she does 10miles + a day, they aren't worth it.

Yep, cars hate short journeys :(

 i think i bought the wrong car for 12miles a day it does make me wonder how its going to effect my car in the long term :(

Not sure, obviously the DCi 100 will be faster but not by much. Mapped though you'll see 110-115bph / 115-125bhp respectively (iirc).

Torque 180 / 190 respectively (again iirc).

But why would you buy a diesel for speed?

theirs several remaped dcis in this thread ;) if you can get a very nice gain in bhp an torque for very little money why wouldn't you it transforms them

a) Could wreck the EGR valve and obviously damage the injectors. Many things could go wrong, but 12 miles a day should see you reet.

b) I'm not mapping mine because I'm buying it purely to save money, throwing £400 and odd quid at it for a slight gain is pointless to me. I can definitely see the appeal though. I'm just going to spend all my money keeping it running.

Privelidge is inbetween Dynamique and Initial.

There was also a Dynamique + up untill around 2003, Privelidge went around then too IIRC.

Privilege had diffrent alloys a/c two tone dash an fuzzy seats they did do a mk3 uptill 2006/7
renault did sell a 3dr Initial mk3
