Can you use oil designed for diesel engines in petrol engines? I'm sure I've read somewhere you can because the only difference is there's more cleaning agents in the the diesel oil.
Only reason I ask is because I was after some oil today and no where seemed to have 5w 40 for petrol engines, the only one I could find was Castrol Magnetec but on the bottle it said it was for Turbo diesel engines.
