hey all,
first things first, just fitted circlip but im wondering if the diff and the inserterted bit for the driveshaft should move at the same in a turn?
i havent put shaft back in(just away to get the tools out for it)but from the car jacked up and circlip in place the shaft section seems to turn whilst the face of the casing bit is moving slower than the shaft would be,
im thinking these should either be moving the same together or the casing not moving atall,or should there be a delay/bit of play between the movements?
i have just replaced the circlip and not welded it yet as my 3 local garages have all told me that they wouldnt weld it in basically cos it will f*ck my box recieving heat and that the clip just splits the weld,
what all does the weld do?is it the weld which keeps the shaft and the diff "locked"?
any help greatly appriecated thanks,
