differences in standard alarms 172

Hey all,
Just had my standard alarm removed and replaced with a clifford.
Some people have told me the standard alarm is under the passenger airbag.
My one however seemed to be a compact system, where the alarm brain itself is contained within the siren.
Is this the case for all ph2 m2 172's?
Lol, also noted the extremley bad wiring job done by the installers wasnt even wired up to doors!!!

The Mk2 Ph1 is under the airbag. Ph2 as you say, compact unit built into the siren housing.

I presume you were impressed with the standard of Cobras instalation then :rasp:

There is no "chirp" when you set/unset it if thats what you mean Taylor!

useful alarm lol, umm i know they put an 15amp fuse in the fuse box in the engine bay, but it looked like that was a fuse for the whole system and not just the siren.
Could have a fudged siren mate
