Diffinitive - Front Splitter

Ive got a MK1 Phase 3, 1.4 Sport Clio

When I find my nearest Seat dealer or trade warehouse, What Ibiza is the splitter off, 2.0 Gti? MK?

Will it go straight on little/no hassle and how much have other people paid?

i used to have one on my 1.4, and to be honest it didnt fit brilliantly, however, i have seen one guy on here with one and his fitted really well, just gotta be prepared to put the time in suppose, when you go into the seat dealer just ask for a ibiza gti front splitter, they cost about £18, have you thought about trying to fit the seat toledo front splitter?? bit different!! hope this helps, cheers

hhmmm mixed views on this then, who else has one, I dont have the experience to cut up a splitter to make it fit, i just need something to fit straight on... anyone else got 1?

will not fit straight on at all, needs to b shortened at both ends and some slits on the underside so that it can be bent more than it is already.

with time and patience will look gd.

ah rite, what i wanted to hear, cos i dunno where to begin with cutting up body parts they quoted me only 18quid with Vat but if its going to be hassle ill have to leave it for a bit, head unit and speakers have to come first anyway..

It actually fits pretty well, just a bit long at each end.

I used 6mm nuts and bolts (about 9p each from B&Q) I think I used about 8 along the length

Took me a couple of hours to do. Bumper off, rip old rubber strip, and line it up. I cut little access slots with a stanley blade so I could fit bolt though then did them up murder tight.

Didnt have to cut any slits, it fitted the contour of the bumper pretty well. I just pushed sides in and drilled holes through. My advice is to start with a central bolt right in middle, then go 1 left, 1 right, 1 left, 1 right etc. (not all along left side then all along right side if that makes sense)

The splitter aint going anywear, I have cought it a couple of times hard and apart from a sickening noise, no damage.
