Digital Camera Repair

Anyone had a point and shoot camera repaired? the Gf's one's screen had cracked, or looks like the lcd has a line down it... so no display.

the camera still works fine, takes pics etc, but you just cant see them etc..

any ideas on a repair cost? or where i could get it done?

Unless its a very expensive model its probably a right off.

Friend dropped my camera traveling and the repair cost to the lens was nearly that of the camera (220). He then got quoted for his to be fixed recently and was 170.

Outside chance that a screen might be cheaper to repair than a lens?!
