Been having trouble starting my Volvo when it is warm (the engine not the air temp) It seems to start easier when its cold. Put some carb cleaner on the carb and it SEEMS ok now. Does this sound like a dirty carb problem?

Been having trouble starting my Volvo when it is warm (the engine not the air temp) It seems to start easier when its cold. Put some carb cleaner on the carb and it SEEMS ok now. Does this sound like a dirty carb problem?

yes?
cleaner where on the carb? running it through the carb doesnt do much for internal channels and idle jets/progression drillings. Neither does spraying it on the carb.
DOes it have an auto choke?
How long does it take when standing hot, till the starting prob occurs........or is it an instant off/on problem?
I cleaned the choke unit the mouths of the intakes and the jets. It has a manual choke.
If i let it tick over after it is hot it starts better than if i stop driving and then turn it straight off. It has problems starting unless it is cold from being left overnight.
Fuel consumption is much better since i cleaned the carb too.
