DIY painting of 182 front bumper....

  clio 5door sport rep
Anyone attempted DIY painting their 182 bumper... Thinking of buying one bit spraying myself to help keep cost down...

Anyone tried it themselves ? How'd it turn out

Yep, pretty good, did my 200sx bumper with a rattle can aswell, best £25 I spent on the car tbh.
It just takes patience and good preperation is key.

only reason I'm thinking of doing it is because the bumper and wings are expensive... Least if I could do it myself I wounlbt be so bad..... sprayed my side strips myself and they turned out good , just scared about scaling it up to something as big as a bumper

prep is very important to get a good finish. But the main key is to warm the plastic and can up, but the can in a warm bucket of water for a min or so, the paint particles will flow much easier and smoother. and dont buy halfords products if you want it to look anywhere near the colour you want, go to your local paint matching place.

its all in the prep, plenty of prep and the final coats will go on fine,

as above get decent paint not halfords and you'll be ok, just take it easy in all the nooks and cranys, lots of light coats

Ive attempted this and just couldnt get the finish, i wouldnt attempt this personally but good luck and fingers crossed :)
