DIY roll cage

After reading this months fast car a civic owner made his own cage. A friend of mine is a well experienced welder, what would be the chances of producing one of these? Thought i'd ask on here before I ask him...

Ideally just a half cage

Id imagine all you would need is some tubing and some measurements from inside the car then bolts and the such.

Would be quite cost effective id say

As long as you got the right grade tubing and maybe found out some of the angles of a proper made up cage then i would have thought it was be a good wayy of doing it.

You just need a decent angle grinder to make the profiles on the corners of the bars
