FI conversions are never simple nor easy, despite what people will say of 'slapping' a turbo on. An engine which runs 11.2:1 CR as stock isnt going to like much boost off the bat without considerable charge temp control and water injection.
And once you start taking an engine apart costs spiral out of control.
LOL on the pugs GTi's/Vts they just put two head gaskets on to sort the CR LOL!
