Master cylinder fitted and lines installed

Rear number plate light , boot latch and boot seal fitted.

Epas steering column connected to rack and fixed in place , need to do the wiring when i install loom.

New brembo discs fitted , i had these in the shed gathering dusk.

Need some time work really to get this built , i am waiting on some parts from powder coaters ! Unfortunately they take forever to do anything.

Engine and gaearbox will fitted as soon my gearbox mounts are ready.

Abs pump and bracket fitted and lines plumbed in

Rear calipers and pads installed , just need the retainers to arrive to complete.

Handbrake cables also connected up and working

Engine is going to be installed next weekend when i have day to spend on the car rather than an hour here and there !

Just need to install flywheel and clutch once i take it off the stand.

Removed the aircon from the heater box tonight and got the heater matrix bolted in place , can make a start on fitting the interior loom and dash into the car.

Heater matrix bolted up, will have to put some rivnuts in possibly at the top.

Good spot , no idea why i did that , they are off the car being painted, think i was excited to see that it worked ha

Got the dash support bar and wiring loom roughly in place.

I had spotted something by ignition barrel so will need to address that tomorrow.

Trial fitted the dash back in but will need to remove to sort the dash bar.

Dash back out and refitted , had to undo steering column and get it aligned.

All bolted back , need to sort epas wiring out once i purchase the contriller.

Today was the day to get the flywheel , clutch and engine and geaebox fitted as the mrs started back at work so i get a full saturday in the garage .

First thing was to make some space and get the garage cleared and the clio pushed back as far as possible to give some clearance height from the front garage door being open.

Engine and gearbox ready to go in.

Finally in position , will have abit more room now ! Can finish stripping whats left on the iceberg , need the drivers door and glass from the doors unless i go poly windows.

Looks like ive done something but this car was a bare shell , no fuel lines , no brake lines , no wiring looms etc plus the other build and lack of time but happy its in !

Painted the bolts after it was fitted as the pink bolt was annoying me

Forgot to install the water pump pulley as it had been put away then i noticed it was bright

Still undecided whether to fit a brand new set of cup shocks and a new set of springs , maybe the grams or something else or do i just get some BC Coilovers for the car ?

Got the steering wheel fitted and fitted the ignition barrel and uch.

This saturdays activities passeger side driveshaft and abs ring and braided line to caliper and hardline to abs unit.

Re-fitted abs to this car For a direct comparison to the red but this will be mainly be a road car / wet trackday car.

Half the battle is having to make space to work in the garage at the moment.

Thats passenger side done onto the next.

Need to move onto the cooling system next week , got new set of hoses to install as i sold my blue set and then look at installing wiring loom

Shame to put a wiring loom in ! Any ideas for making the stock wiring loom any better ?

Drivers side driveshaft installed , was abit more of a pain as the driveshaft didnt have the spline sleave to connect to the output shaft on the gearbox so had to remove from a old shaft.

Alternator adjustable tensioner bolts from plees does the job perfectly.

Master cylinder fitted and fluid filled up to check for leaks on the lines and there was a leak ! Sorted now !

Injectors installed , ignition leads and coilpack fitted.

Radiator and hoses clipped up but have a new radiator on order.

Jon foz subframe offered up but need to finish install another day !

Managed to get the seat subframe and slider fitted. Only have 1 seat for this at the moment . May buy another or just borrow one from the red clio as and when !

Abit snug but im a stone heavier afterna year of munching !

Need to install engine bay wiring loom , needs the looms from the iceberg shell for the doors and rear lights.

Need drivers door from iceberg and both glass unless i go for perspex windows .

What do people think ? Perspex or glass windows ?

Also have cage colour ? Whats peoples thoughts ?

I did a little clean up where there was a little surface rust formed around the rear end.
I used POR 3 stage tretment after sanding the surface rust away.

Around where the springs are seated were cleaned up and treated.

Managed to get abit of time on the white clio today before the wales match. No comments on the result !

Test fitted the cage , need to get bolted in , bottom feet should be ok but might need to modify the rear strengthening plates.

Also got the miltek fitted , need to have a mess about with the tailpipes as they arent equal either side !

Couldnt move everything out because of the rain so very little room.

Managed to get the car to start firstime !

Had a fuel leak ! Rubber o ring had seen better days ,luckily i had 2 connectors from ktec so just replaced o ring and all good.

Car was idling at 3000 rpm so likely a vacuum leak , put fresh gaskets and double checked inlets on refit. Idling was now around 1000 but seemed to be struggling and flashing on dash to indicate fault.

Swapped

Swapped pedal which removed one code.

Took my laptop and Rs tuner down tonight to see if i got any clearer codes and this is what i got , i'm hoping its coil pack rather than a wiring fault.
