Managed to get the oem dogbone mount in and aligned eventually after undoing the manifold and exhaust !

Well my new coilpack arrived , fitted it and the car was the same 🙈.

Had a look at the coilpack plug and noticed one of the pins was pushed back in the plug and not locked in place !

Its alive 😈

Not much done today on this , fitted washer bottle , wiper motor and scuttles and front headlamps.

They lights need a good polish !

Furthest its moved since i bought it ! I dont appear to have reverse at the moment 😂😂

Managed to pick up some cheap 182 alloys relatively local after somebody had agreed to the sale and sold them to someone else 😠.

After brake bleeding the car with my new toy , the pedal felt pretty good.

Had nightmare trying to bleed the abs using the Rs tuner , rear right bleeds but then any other caliper it comes up with an error.

After afew days of searching i found something on here that somebody got around the error by pressing pump motor then selecting which side to bleed and it would allow me to do it without the error message. Clearly a bug in the software !

So i sold the seat on thursday , it was alittle snug for me ! So ive had to steal the passenger seat out the red clio ! I did visit demon tweeks to seat in some seats as i was thinking of buying a replacement but seats seem to have got way more expensive !

Finally have a brake pedal after a fair bit of bleeding and using the Rs tuner abs software !

Adjusted the gear linkage on the weekend also so i know have reverse !

Seems to be a trend for selling things at the moment , sold my omp wheel this week as i have already got a different wheel to fit.

I found a dodgy fake momo wheel in the shed to put on for now 😂

Also had to remove the upper dash to install the centre clock i had forgot to refit.

Afew little jobs done today in preparation for going for paint.

Had to remove front wings in order to remove the bonnet hinges as my bonnet has all the inner skin removed. Annoying i had to unbolt the lights and wings to this but its done.now.

My recently bought 182 alloys fitted for transport , need to put some air in the rears !

May get these refurbed when it returns for winter wheels.

Next job fit doors , i already have a passenger door fitted but the inner rails has been removed so no good as i want electric windows.

Now time to fit the doors from my old iceberg.

2 doors fitted and front roll bar clamps fitted and front wings refitted. Abit more to do tomorrow and she will be off.

Stil lots of things to sort before it can go on the road , need to order the epas module , so hard steering with no assitance !

Abit more done on sunday as i knew the car was being collected monday to go for paint !

I have discovered that my alternator is not charging and i have the stop light on the dash , plugged in diagnostics prior to see if there was any new codes but only the usual ones due to things being removed.

Monday morning arrived and my mate arrived with his tow truck , always use him for transport.

Off to have 2 doors painted and front bumper so its all one colour lol.

Im also going to get my 182 wheels painted but this will be done once the car is back and tyres have been removed.

Sneak peak ! Got the car back late last night ! Loads to do still to get it on the road ! Alternator needs to be removed and taken for repair. Reverse gear needs adjusting and currently has no seats fitted !

So i got the car back late friday night ! Had to push it into the garage , battery was flat after its last start as the alternator isnt charging so need to remove this week to take for repair.

Front grilles have been painted gloss black along with the fog light surrounds and badge.

Aerocatches and pitking latches have been installed as the inner skin has been removed along with the hinge threads !

Splitter needs painting now as it looks out of place.

Not a massive amount of progress ! I noticed my alternator wasnt charging prior to going for paint so needed to investigate.

Removed alternator and got it checked before i did anything as i bought this off a member.

Alternator was checked and all good so further investigation needed.

All sorted now after numerous checks and advice from some of the guys on here.

Bad earthing due to powder coat on the face which bolts to the blocks !

We can progress with the build and hopefully get it on the road in march is the aim 🤞.

Not alot of time spent on this today as i needed to go the bank and i had to jack the red clio up and adjust the gear linkage to get reverse before i could drive this out the garage.

First time they have been both outside. The white clio has been in a garage since 2014 by previous owner as bare shell and been in my garage since december 2021.

First job was to fit the rear boot latches. I have already fitted these to the front of the car, expensive for what they are but if the Aston martin race team use them on there cars the quality should be there in comparison to the cheap chinese ones on ebay.

Quick latches fitted , these could have done with being ever so slightly longer but maybe i can look into this again.

Found the engine cover that came with the car. Dont think that will be going back on !

Time to re-install the flocked dash and start putting the dash back together.

Still not 100% sure how much of an interior is going to go back in this !

Note the dodgy steering wheel, only installed for moving the car.

Been a while, life and work got in the way as usual but going to get this finished and on the road over winter as the S2000 will be tucked away so good opportunity to get some miles done in this and some winter trackdays.

Rear Cup windows installed so hopefully car will be water tight so i can get this out the garage and on the drive.

Need to remove the KW suspension off the red car and fit onto this as its currently on oem shocks and sits very high.

Managed to finish putting the doors back together now i had the white clios for the honeycomb window guide.

Also found the insert for the side of doors as couldnt remember but luckily i bagged all the door fixings.

Fitted the oem door cards for now as i plan to use this abit over winter and be semi practical 🙃.

Drivers side done, need to see why its not locking on the key fob, cant hear it engaging lock so will check im getting signal at the door.

Passenger side, it was getting dark so packaway time.

If it’s an occasional track car then absolutely. I’d be fitting carpet and a room lining. Club sport is the new fashion du jour. But it actually makes perfect sense. Slightly lightning the car and making it reasonably track focussed whilst still pleasant on the roads.

Yeah i will have to see if anyone has a carpet here or go scrapyard for one. Assuming a cup one is thinner than standard

Attempted to do abit today with my right hand out of action due to a broken wrist !
First job was replace the radiator as the one i fitted was slightly to tall so i purchased an oem one.

Slam panel should fit in place now without fouling the radiator 😎

Spent afew hours on the clio today. First job remove the radiator which doesnt quite fit with the slam panel as i found out.

I went for valeo unit, think this is what are fitted from the factory.

Hopefully slam panel fits in place now without fouling the radistor.

Put away to sleep until tomorrow. Need to install the rubbers on passenger door and find out why electric window is not operating on passenger side.

Also fitted fuel rail protection and replaced some of the pink bolts 😂

Electric window sorted, i hadn't plugged it back into the window motor 🤣.

Started fitting the window rubbers back into the door frame then had to pack up.
